For the last two years, SAC32 and Stretford Public Hall have worked with local schools in the lead up to the Christmas season. Schools are invited to take part in the Christmas card competition where three winning entries from each school are made into cards to help raise funds for Stretford Public Hall. All entries are displayed throughout the building and projected on to the grade two listed buildings window. The competition aims to engage with local schools, drawing more visitors to the hall as families come to view the artwork and boost the confidence of the budding artists who have entered.
We also take part in the Stretford Advent Calendar each year. This is a great community project where participating streets are given a date through the month of December. Each street has many houses contribute to the project by creating a window display which is lit up each night from their corresponding date until Christmas day. SAC32 design, create and display their contribution from the front windows of Streford Public Hall.
