Rosarie Walsh

Rosarie is a Project Co-ordinator, Drama Facilitator and Theatre Maker based in Stretford. Rosarie was born and raised in Cork, Ireland, where her love of theatre began at the age of 4. She has a BA in Marketing Management  (2004) and an MA in Applied Theatre  (2010) from the University of Manchester. Rosarie has 8 years experience in organising arts and cultural learning projects and performances with young people and adults.

Rosarie has proven project management skills include budgeting, fundraising, recruiting staff and participants, publicity and marketing, research and planning, workshop delivery and evaluation as well as directing and creating performances in the community. Other projects for which Rosarie has taken primary responsibility include working with Salford and Tameside Youth Offending Service, Adactus Housing Projects with vulnerable adults, and as a provider for Salford Open Learning working with young people dis-engaged from school.  She has successfully raised funds for cultural projects from a range of private trusts, Arts Council England, European Social Funding and two Heritage Lottery Young Roots Projects.

Between December 2010 and July 2016, Rosarie worked as a Co-Artistic Director of Tandem Theatre which she set up: this role involved managing a range of projects with various partners and funders as well as working with community groups of children, young people and adults. This also included working towards accredited qualifications such as The Arts Award and SEPE (Supporting Employment and Personal Effectiveness).

In 2014 Rosarie was thrilled to be involved in re-establishing Stretford Children’s Theatre as part of the community in Stretford and she continues to help grow Streford Children’s Theatre. In 2017 Rosarie secured funding from The Heritage Lottery Young Roots Programme to facilitate a project called Ahead of His Time: John Rylands, social Investor in Stretford and The Streford Public Hall. This culminated in July 2018 with a number of promenade performance at the Stretford Public Hall in June 2018. (

In September 2018 Rosarie will be working in partnership with enJOY Arts on a young parents project in Trafford, funded by Awards for All and Trafford Housing Trust. This is an exciting new project and Rosarie is really looking forward to it.
