Becky Moore is a Practicing artist since graduating from BA(Hons) Art and Design at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2005 where she specialised in Photography, Animation and Illustration. Becky began trading as Becky Bygone in 2009 along side working freelance in television post-production. Becky Bygone started as primarily a vintage clothing and household goods trading name but is now the umbrella of all Becky’s practices. Becky now primarily specialises in illustration, photography and copper pipe work but is always experimenting with a variety of different techniques and materials .
Becky has her work for sale online, in various shops locally and around the UK and trades regularly at various markets and fairs in Manchester, Lancashire, London and Yorkshire.
In the past Becky has volunteered as a mural artist youth workshop leader at The Marylebone Project in London by leading teenagers to design a mural and prep the walls. A volunteer film-editor for the Street Child World Cup in Brazil. Volunteer support for art workshops for adults with learning disabilities at Venture Arts in Manchester.
“In my Stretford Art Collective studio space I create hand illustrated greetings cards using recycled buttons. I also work alongside clients to create custom cards and prints with requested memories and designs including bespoke wedding invitations. I also produce illustrated bags, mugs, stationery, jewellery and accessories.
I design and create copper lamps and I’m currently experimenting with other copper objects and forms; Having become very interested in sustainability I’ve begun working with discarded and waste materials. Sustainability throughout my work is a vision and goal for the future.
Outside of the studio I continue to work freelance in television production and post-production, wedding photography, make-up artistry, film-editing and animation. I have just finished training in plumbing”. – Becky Moore.
